A spellbinding evening of songs, poems, & performances with Andrea Ambam, honoring the legacy of Nina Simone and centering Black femme & non-binary mental wellbeing. In a world where Young, Gifted, & Black (1971) girls often go Misunderstood (1964), we’ll gather to envision a soft place to land that leaves us Feeling Good (1965).
Andrea Ambam is a storyteller and truthteller whose roots sprout from Cameroon. As a politically-engaged artist who believes in the art’s potential for movement-building and transformative justice, Andrea puts narrative to use, creating theatrical experiences that world bend and record truth.
