Join us on SUNDAY, March 10 from 4 – 5 PM in The Pershing Square Signature Center Lobby for SIGSPACE x SUNSET BABY: Creative Resistance. This (free) event features Tony Award-winning non-profit, Broadway Advocacy Coalition, as they showcase powerful storytelling by and in support of the Releasing Aging People in Prison Campaign (RAPP). Featuring excerpts of pieces from three artists, this evening will lift up the vital role of theater and film in promoting racial justice by striking at systems of endless punishment. Featured pieces will include an excerpt from Beyond Punishment: Stories of Justice and Healing, written and directed by Kirya Traber (produced by the Justice Beyond Punishment Collaborative and Ping Chong and Company); Andrea Ambam’s Date of Release – created for BAC’s Arts in Action Festival; and New Yorker- featured documentary, The Interview.
