Position Summary
Signature Theatre Company is seeking candidates for the position of Seasonal Associate Production Manager to join its Production Team. The Seasonal Associate Production Manager is an integral member of the Production Team. In conjunction with the Production Manager, you will collaborate with designers and production staff, to support and facilitate the execution for the productions in our 2022-23 Season. The work schedule varies, often including evening and weekend hours. This is seasonal exempt position, reporting to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Collaborate with the Production Manager on the planning and implementation of all production and technical elements of each production with a keen eye on fiscal responsibility.
• Assist the Production Manager in creating production calendars, contracts, budgets, and other production paperwork.
• Assist with all production office responsibilities, including payroll, expense tracking, petty cash and credit card reconciliations and purchasing.
• Attend design presentations, production meetings, rehearsals and run-throughs as designated by the Production Manager, and monthly all-staff meetings.
• Cover tech rehearsals and facilitate work calls in Production Manager's absence.
• Collaborate with designers to establish priorities and responding to notes from designers in a timely manner.
• Support ongoing maintenance throughout the run of each production in conjunction with the supervisors and the run crew.
• Maintain clear communication within the production department to ensure efficient and successful implementation of design and technical elements of each production.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Two or more years of experience working in a managerial position in the theatre industry with a strong background in stage management or production management, or in a related position with equivalent experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of the design and production process.
• Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with budgeting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
• Possess a positive attitude and is self-motivated.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and support designers and fellow team members.
• Interested and committed to building an equitable and inclusive community.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks.
• A valid driver license is a plus but not a requirement.

Compensation
This is a seasonal exempt position with a salary of $1,200 per week. An excellent benefit package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid sick time, personal days, transit benefit program, and employee assistance program. The seasonal contract ends June 18, 2023.

Position Summary
Signature Theatre Company is seeking candidates for the seasonal exempt position of Costume Shop Manager to join its Production Team. The Costume Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing all costume, hair, wig, and make-up needs for the productions in our 2022-23 Season. The work schedule varies, often including evening and weekend hours. This is a seasonal exempt position, reporting to the Production Manager. The seasonal contract ends July 2, 2023.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Collaborate with designers to establish priorities and responding to notes from designers
• Ensure that all costume elements are executed with the highest level of craftsmanship with a keen eye towards fiscal responsibility.
• Develop work schedules and checking work progress to meet deadlines and goals.
• Responsible for the hiring and management of part-time overhire stitchers as needed, and wardrobe run crew to best support the productions.
• Coordinate ongoing maintenance throughout the run of each production in conjunction with the run crew.
• Maintain the costume shop, its facilities and equipment.
• Attend design presentations, production meetings, rehearsals and run-throughs as designated by the Production Manager, and monthly all-staff meetings.
• Maintain clear communication within the production department to ensure efficient and successful implementation of design and technical elements of each production.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Two or more years of experience working as a Costume Shop Manager or in a related position with equivalent experience
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the costume design and production process.

Production Dates:
• Load-in: Tue, 1/3/23 – Mon, 1/22/23
• Tech: Tue, 1/24/23 – Sun, 1/29/23
• 1st Preview: Tue, 1/31/23
• Opening Night: Mon, 2/21/23

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in overseeing safe and correct installation and assembly of all scenic elements in a timely manner.
• Adhere to load-in schedule and coordinate with other departments to do so.
• Supervise and lead a team of overhire carpenters.
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Desired Experience
• 2-3 years of professional carpentry experience in a theatrical setting
• Knowledge of theatrical carpentry tools, construction methods, rigging practices, and welding
• Ability to read and interpret shop and build drawings
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and proven experience in supervising a team of carpenters
• Possess a positive attitude and is self-motivated

Compensation
The position is non-exempt. Hourly rate of pay is $33/hour. Any hours worked *beyond 40 hours in a work week is compensated at one and a half times the hourly rate. *Beyond 40 hours calculation excludes hours paid at a premium when worked on holiday observances.
