Signature Theatre Company is thrilled to announce programming through our 20th Anniversary:
2007-2008
Charles Mee
Over the past 20 years, Charles Mee has established himself as one of the nation's most original and innovative playwrights. His plays range from fierce political deconstructions to frothy romantic comedies but they are all linked by a wild, fun, irreverent theatricality that takes risks and defies expectations. Among other awards, he is the recipient of the lifetime achievement award in drama from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
Legacy Playwright: Edward Albee
For nearly fifty years Edward Albee has explored the dark undersides of family, identity, love, and death, in plays that range from comically absurdist to brutally realistic.
The legacy production of Edward Albee's Occupant is supported
by by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Additional support is provided
by the Laura Pels Foundation and the Blanche & Irving Laurie Foundation.
2008-2009
